"When people say they're looking for the meaning of life, what they're really looking for is a deep experience of it."
Joseph Campbell

Each person has a tendency to experience life in a particular way. Are you primarily

  • A sensual person? Experiencing life mainly through pictures, sounds or bodily sensations?
  • An emotional person? Most aware of feelings like anger, fear, and love?
  • A conceptual person? Dwelling mainly in the realm of thoughts and ideas?
  • A spiritual person? Moved by spiritual, moral or ethical verities?

It's all too easy to become entrenched in one particular way of experiencing life, just as an addict becomes so possessed by one mode of behavior that other important aspects of life are ignored and neglected. It's important to take a reality check and to look honestly at all the areas of your life as you answer the question:

What are you most happy about, and most unhappy about?

  • Consider your Health and Lifestyle, Relationships, Work, and Higher Purpose or Spiritual Practice.
  • In each area, list your major sources of dissatisfaction.
  • For each one, write down what would have to happen for you to consider that a significant improvement had occurred.

Live life fully, in all the Dimensions.
