Reservations

Reservations are made upon the receipt of a deposit of at least 200 euros. The tenant will then be sent a pdf agreement showing the amount paid, the balance due and terms and conditions of the rental.

On arrival in Nice

The tenant will normally collect the keys from us (or our representative) in Nice between 3pm and 6pm on the day of arrival. Other arrangements are possible by prior agreement.

The rental balance should be paid in cash, together with a security deposit (normally 300 euros - more for longer lets). The security deposit will be retained during the period of rental as security against breakages, loss of contents or damage to the property.

The tenant should inspect the apartment on arrival and if any problems are found must let us know as soon as possible.

If the tenant requires the use of bed linen and towels there will be a charge of 15 euros per tenant per week, which will be deducted from the security deposit together with a charge for cleaning.

On the day of departure

On the day of departure the tenant must vacate the apartment by 11am. (This is to allow time for the apartment to be checked and cleaned before the arrival of the next tenant). The keys should normally be returned to us, or by prior agreement they may be left in a secure designated spot.

Other conditions

The tenant agrees to occupy the flat for holiday or temporary residential purposes only. Under no circumstances will this rental agreement be considered a lease for a main residence.

The owner has insured the flat against fire, theft and water damage, but the tenant should make sure he is insured should the owner's insurance company invoke the tenant's civil third party liability.

As a courtesy to other tenants smoking is not permitted in any of our apartments.

Cancellations

If the rental is cancelled more than one month before the date of arrival, the deposit will be refunded less 200 euros. Otherwise, the deposit is not refundable.
