The wide pavements on adjacent Haverstock Hill are lined with cafes and restaurants. The Screen on the Hill cinema, a supermarket, health club with pool, book shop, delicatessen, green grocers, dry cleaners, and wine shops are 2 minutes away. An ideal area for walking with well lit streets and generally safe at night. You don't need a car. Primrose Hill or Hampstead Heath can be reached in a 10 minute walk and Camden Lock market is down the hill.
Transport: In addition to Belsize Park underground you can take a bus via Euston to Waterloo. Swiss Cottage with its numerous cinemas and the Jubilee Line is a 10 minute walk to the west. You can get the train from Hampstead Heath across North London to Richmond and Kew Gardens; it takes less than half an hour. The same line goes east to City airport.
